Herkenrade

Traditional Limburg farmhouse in Herkenrade, near St. Geertuid, not far from the Belgian border. I pass it almost each day while driving to work, so a few days ago I decided to stop and sketch it.
Oude boerenhuis in Herkenrade, een gehucht vlakbij Sint Geertruid. 'sMorgens vroeg, op weg naar mijn werk.

Dit soort sketches vind ik prachtig. Snelle lijnen, geen overbodige details, mooie kleuren. Mooi!

Thanks for your remarks.
Rob: I drew this standing up on someones driveway on the other side of the street. At some point the guy living there returned from his morning walk with his dog, said goodmorning, and passed to his front door. After I got the major parts right I returned to the car a bit further on (with approx the same view) and finished it.
