Bogadinskiy

An old lady and her cat were sitting in the late autumn sun in front of her house, in Bogandiskiy, east-Siberia. Below you see the rough sketch made with fountainpen, on which the painting was based.

This is wonderful. I think I have a similar interest as you in what captures your eye. I love this scene with the lady, but also the helicopter. This one reminds me of my short time in Russia.

You did see Russia as well? Fascinating country. Actually, I was looking all over to find something more lively than just the beautiful wooden windows, but the villages are quite deserted.
And I agree, I recognize common interests of subjects.
