Anoher one from C-mine

Another location sketch of C-mine in Genk. The whole (former) coal mine is full of machines like these.

C-mine Genk.

I had some time left on Sunday, my wife was shopping. I went to a cultural centre in Genk Belgium, which is housed in a former coal mine. The generator hall is still intact, like it was when the mie was still in function. The large wheel served to roll the cables, who went up the tower, and down the elevator shafts.
Even though it was inside, it was pretty cold.

12 nudes

Some time ago I bought a Hahnemühle Kraft paper book.
I made some drawings with black ink and white marker in them.
Just exercises in shape and shadow.

In total I wanted to do 12 nudes. I will not show all of them, here are 4 of the better ones.

Schoolbus

Urban sketch of a schoolbus, standing on a parking lot near my office.
I made this during lunchbreak, even though I had to stop halfway with the watercolour, because it started to drizzle. Finished it at home.
And then there was a nice surprise: Marian Langereis made a fantastic poem when she saw the drawing (in Dutch, I wouldn't dare translating it).

Kijk ze daar staan
de ijzeren jassen zwaar op de wielen
de motor stil
het ontroerend vervoer
zal zonder vragen
je van hier naar daar willen dragen
met uniform wil je weten
met wantsy aan vergeten
kijk ze nu staan
geduldig wachten
in kou en warme nachten
op jou en jou en jou
kijk ze staan
tot elk zijn kant op zal gaan

Chateau Neercanne

First, best wishes for the new year. may it be a happy, healthy and fruitful one.
Another go at the Chateau Neercanne building. I made this with gouache (not on location though).
Maybe I'll turn this into a painting once.
