Yesterday I visited the Weihnachtsmarkt in Aachen. It was freezing. This is next to the reibekuchen und backfish stall Fuhrmann.
Gistermiddag op de Kerstmarkt in Aken. Vrieskoud, zelfs de Glühwein hielp niet meer.

Wow, you're less than 4 hours away? This is fantastic. You were outside painting this? I love the color and composition- just super.

You drive Porsche? But I checked, it's less far than I expected, 550km.
I sketched it in my small moly-notebook with notes on colours, and I made a quick picture, all because my wife&friends wanted to go to the next glühweinhaus. At home I decided to redo it in my watercolour moly, I don't like the way watercolour behaves in the notebook. But I was determined to handle the drawing as-if-drawn-on-location.

I checked It shows you to be a little over 4 hrs. away. Close, but also not so close! One of these days!... Happy sketching and Christmas season, my friend.

I like very much your watercolours from crowded places. You are very good in harmonizer people, space and light.
Have nice Christmas season and happy new year!
