Molen, Brielle

Drawn this morning, before driving to work, a little sketch of an ancient windmill standing on the walls of the fortifications of Brielle. Just after I finished it, they turned the mill 90 degrees, it was pointing the other way.
Vanmorgen geschilderd, voordat ik naar kantoor reed: de molen op de vestingwerken van Brielle.

By the way: I deleted the former post, I didn't like that drawing at all.

Wow, I've missed a few days since traveling and I am loving all of your new posts. I just sketched a windmill, albeit not functioning, more for looks.

Yes, I saw it on your site, lovely one. This one was still functioning: like I said, the wind turned and they had to turn the mill. The original wooden mills had to head into the wind, otherwise the main structure can be damaged.

I check regularly your site, but no commenting. (actually I was too busy last days) But this drawing is again very good. I love the subdued color palette.

It was early morning and I tried to capture the less flashy colours.
