Oldsmobile Toronado

Also made during the Cruise-in meeting in Brunssum, a quick sketch of a 1970 Oldsmobile Toronado.
Very long and sleek, this american beauty.

I don't usually like sketches of cars but this one is real good. It seems to fit the era of big cars perfectly. My second car was a little like this one. It was a 1967 Chevy Biscayne, an enormous car. I drove it to Atlantic Canada twice and had to check the oil each day because there was a leak in the engine gasket. Maybe you might see one of them at a museum one day! Thanks for rekindling my memories.

You really drove a Biscayne? I really liked the 60s type (with the horizontal wings), but the later models are about the most archetypical 60s american cars you can imagine.
In a computergame I played 15 years ago (I think it was "driver") I always used to choose that type to cruise around in the bronx.
If I ever come across one of them, I'll make a drawing of it :)
