Amsterdam, de Gooyer

Amsterdam, de Gooyer. An old windmill, practocally in the middle of town. I was sitting on a nice terrace on the other side of the canal. in  the sun, sipping on some coffee.
Even though I lived in Amsterdam for a short while, I had never seen the mill up close.

Your latest postings have some nice sketches of older buildings in Amsterdam. I’ve been considering a trip there for this fall; it seems like a great place for urban sketching.

Yes it is, Amsterdam is very fit for Urban sketching.
As a matter of fact, together with a few others I am preparing and organizing for the International Amsterdam Urban Sketching symposium in July. My task is arranging the 36 workshops and their locations, for an international group of instructors. That's why I visited Amsterdam last week, to check the locations. This one among others.
