This morning I went painting in the park behind the castle of Amstenrade (just about 1 km from my house). It was not cold, and I was be able to do this painting in (acrylic) gouache on darkbrown toned paper. In the picture you can see my gouache setup, fixed on a camera tripod. I made the box myself.

Very nice. I like how the bright green bushes define the dark green tree and how you captured all the details in the tower.
Acrylic gouache seems like a good medium for plein air painting (and especially for a nice location next to your home). I have a box of them that I never used and might try them out. Currently I’m experimenting with water mixable oil paints which seem to have some of the properties of acrylic paint.
I look forward to your next acrylic gouache project.
Thanks Michael. Some time ago I worked with waster soluble oil paint as well. I like that stuff.
