Brandweer

Yesterday evening the local firebrigade was dredging the canals of Brielle. I don't know what they were looking for, but all they found was this old cafechair.
While drawing I talked to a nice lady, who told me the guy in the orange shirt on the left was her son, and her daughter had joined the (voluntary) firebrigade as well. You have to respect people making time for and investing in the place they live.
De brandweer van Brielle was gisterenavond aan het dreggen bij de Kaaibrug. Het enige dat ze vonden was deze oude cafestoel... Tijdens het tekenen raakte ik aan de praat met een aardige mevrouw, die vertelde dat haar zoon (oranje shirt) en dochter ook bij de brandweer zaten. Respect.
