Crossing Breitner

Just wanted to paint/draw something today.
A simple watercolour, based on a picture I saw on Flickr, by Maarten Oortwijn called "crossing the street Breitner style".
Just having fun with colours.

You've not only created a nice mixture of colours but have captured the atmosphere of a late afternoon in a lonely downtown street. I also notice that you didn't use a pencil or pen, but painted directly on the paper. Good job.

Thanks Michael, yes indeed, it feels weird not to use ink and linework, and that's a good reason to do it.
