On my way to our Maastricht office I made a detour to fill my tank with cheap Belgian gasoline.
As it was about lunchtime, I decided to refrain from eating my bread behind the steering wheel, and stopped in Rekem, a little village just across the border.
I had just enough time for a little sketch while sitting in a feeble spring sun.

Ah, lovely! And how much do they charge for gas in Belgium now?
Thanks Rob, gas in Belgium was about €1,47 this week, Germany 1.55 and here 1.66. It's more expensive further from the border, even over 1.75. The oil companies keep the prices lower at the country borders, in order not to loose all costumers. Living close to the border has its advantages.
