Hi Rene. I thought I’d mention that this and your previous posting have interesting effects. Your ink work has nice thick and thin lines and your watercolour seems to be almost a wet-in-wet sort of application. The colours are also nice and dark. I don’t know if you’ve tried a different technique or have used different materials but it looks good.
thanks Michael, yes I did try different techniques. These were made with reed pens on 100% cotton paper, which results in quite dramatic effects. It's inspired by the drawing techniques of Kiah Kian, an urban sketcher who I met during the Amsterdam symposium. The thing I like about it is that you have to let a part of the control over the drawing process go. You should try it!
