Flaming tower

Burning (chemical) waste at the DSM Chemical plant, on an early morning a few days ago. This is more or less the view from my working desk at present.

It certainly does look like flames are shooting out of that tower. Its kinda scary. Reminds me of Lord of the Rings ;) Good job.

Thanks Michael, it was not scary at all, I see it regularly from my desk. It's a safety device, when there is a safety issue (even a small one), or when they do maintenance, they burn the contents of the reactors at very high temperatures. So risks for workers, equipment and environment are minimalised. The tower is >20 meter high, no danger at all.
